Scientifically Proven

Over the course of the last 15 years, Matthieu Ricard has participated in several scientific research programs intended to document the long-term effects of meditation practice on the brain and on behavior. This research has shown that it is possible to achieve significant changes on both neural and behavioral level in developing qualities such as attention, emotional balance, altruism, and inner peace. Other studies have also demonstrated mediation benefits that include a decrease in anxiety, vulnerability to pain, and in the tendency toward depression and anger. Moreover, meditation has been shown to strengthen the power of attention and boost the immune system.
